Studio Vault Tuesday

The "studio vault" series should be posted on Tuesdays for now. Once I've shared the studio vault items with you, and the studio vault series is complete, I might continue to post newly created items on Tuesdays.

Today I'm taking you through another journey of the Studio Vault Zone.

You might have noticed some of the original art and jewelry currently aren't actively listed in the store. In these blog posts, we will share some of the items from the studio vault. If you are interested in any of these, please don't hesitate to contact us and make an offer. Just keep in mind that the items may be sold.

Shark Below

This unique, one of a kind rock necklace makes the perfect natural statement jewelry for anyone who loves sharks! With a gorgeous acrylic painting done on natural beach rock (hand drilled in studio), this durable necklace is completed using a satin cord and secured using a hand drilled river rock button clasp. Perfect gift for any shark enthusiast who loves handmade jewelry!

The bail for the pendant is created by a lovely snake knot. Beautiful turquoise satin cord chosen for its ocean close color. * West coast beach rock pendant: app. 1.75" x 2" x 1/4" (45 mm x 38 mm x 6.3 mm)

  • Title: "Shark Below"
  • Satin cord
  • River rock button clasp
  • Length: app. 20.5" ( 52.1 cm)
  • Series: "Ocean Wonders" (9/10)

Painted with acrylic paints, this beach stone pendant has also been varnished with a few layers of UV-resistant clear coat. It comes as a complete necklace with a gorgeous turquoise smooth satin cord. This necklace secures with a hand drilled river rock button. The back of the pendant is left unpainted (minus a few marks of paint that escaped my brush!). I have also initialed and dated the back of the pendant.

Nature friendly, this West Coast beach stone is drilled in studio. It is then carefully washed and let dry. I then create a design appropriate to the shape of the beach rock. Once allowed to dry, I then varnish the pendant, creating a better protection against the elements. Keep in mind that color appearance may vary from monitor to monitor. Colors may not appear the same on your monitor as it shows on mine.

This lovely marine life art pendant will come with its own Certificate of Authenticity (CoA).

*** Colors: Please note that not all monitors display colors the same way. I've done my best to portray the accurate colors of the item. Items may appear darker or lighter on your monitor.

On the Fly

Titled "On the Fly," this painted beach stone pendant features an acrylic painting of an orca porpoising. This unique miniature painting is created by animal artist Gunilla Wachtel. The beach stone pendant is top drilled and painting has been given a few coats of light varnish to give it that lasting shine. This beach stone pebble measures approximately 1.5" x 2" x 1/4" (50 mm x 38 mm x 6.3 mm). This is a very gender neutral pendant and would be suitable for both male or female. Beautiful handmade jewelry for anyone.

The specifics:
* West coast beach rock pendant: app. 1.5" x 2" x 1/4" (50 mm x 38 mm x 6.3 mm)
* Satin cord
* River rock button clasp
* Length: app. 22.5" (57.2 cm)
* Series: "Ocean Wonders" (4/10)

Painted with acrylic paints, this beach stone pendant has also been varnished with a few layers of UV-resistant clear coat. It comes as a complete necklace with a gorgeous turquoise smooth satin cord. This necklace secures with a hand drilled river rock button.

Porpoising is when the orca leaps out of the water while swimming. For this artwork I chose to feature the movement of a killer whale porpoising out of the beautiful cobalt blue waters with a scenic green forest in the far beyond.

The back of the pendant is left unpainted (minus a few marks of paint that escaped my brush!). I have also initialed and dated the back of the pendant.

Late Night Swim

 This serene beach stone necklace evokes feelings of calm and beauty. Titled "Late Night Swim," this serene beach stone painting by Gunilla Wachtel brings you emotionally closer to the ocean and the beautiful orca out for a late night swim.

Naturally smoothed by Mother Nature's vivid ocean waves, this beach stone pendant is incredibly smooth. Small, yet chunky, this beautiful pendant is a completed necklace using a satin cord and a river rock button clasp.

Painted with acrylic paints and a great attention to detail, this pendant has also been varnished with a few layers of UV-resistant clear coat. "Late Night Swim" comes with a luxurious turquoise satin cord that is secured with a hand drilled river rock button. The elegant bail for this pendant is created using the smooth satin cord. The satin bail is a snake knot, elegantly knotted to make for a stunning look.

"Late Night Swim" was painted and created by artist Gunilla Wachtel from Kanweienea Kreations studio.

  • The specifics:
  • West coast beach rock pendant: app. 1.5" x 2" x 1/4" (38 mm x 50 mm x 6.3 mm)
  • Satin cord Clasp: hand drilled river rock button
  • Length: app. 24" (61 cm)

The back of the pendant is left unpainted (minus a few marks of paint that escaped my brush!).

I have also initialed and dated the back of the pendant. The smooth and shiny turquoise satin cord has been carefully selected to complete this design. It was chosen because of it's almost Pacific Ocean color adding to the whole feel of the ocean created canvas. It creates a very sophisticated look.

This chunky pendant is so smooth to hold and wearing this classy necklace is almost like wearing a piece of the ocean with you! Nature friendly, this West Coast beach stone is drilled in studio. It is then carefully washed and let dry. I then create a design appropriate to the shape of the beach rock. I love animals and I love the beach! Rocks are I would like to say, nature's natural canvas. The shape, the feel, the ecological aspect to using rocks to paint on really adds up to a great way to create art. Materials Used: beach rock, acrylic paints, varnish, satin cord, tiny paintbrushes
