When you commission Gunilla Wachtel to do a one of a kind original drawing or intuitive painting for you: 

• Gunilla will discuss the work via email. 
• Good reference photos are a must and you have to have the copyright to use those photos. 
• Full payment is required before starting work - no exceptions.

     

How much does it cost?

This depends on the subject, painting, sketch or detailed drawing,so you will need to contact us for more information. 

What do you need from me?

Just 2–3 clear photos, which you have to have the copyright to use, along with a short note about your horse. I’ll guide you through the rest.

What size is a commissioned drawing?

Each artwork is expertly crafted on premium archival paper in either 9” x 12” or 11” x 14” sizes. The drawing features a deliberate margin and does not extend to the edges, thus creating a natural border that enhances any framing options you might later choose (drawing is unmatted and unframed). Typically, the subject is rendered without a background, adding drama and focusing all attention on the essence and spirit of the horse.

What size is a commissioned painting?

This is discussed prior to agreeing on commission work. Normally the smallest commission size is 11x14.

What about copyright?

If you mailed (not e-mailed) me original photos I will return them to you. The artwork itself however, is my copyright, so I could make prints from it unless otherwise agreed upon.

All images and artwork are copyrighted by the artist. The rights are not transferred with the sale. I reserve the right to any reproductions of the artwork or images. The copyright of the portrait remains with the artist. Do not reproduce.
