Ocean Splash
Do you love orcas? Do you love marine life paintings and jewelry? You will LOVE this "Ocean Splash" necklace! Beautiful blues and other vibrant colors are used to create the painting titled creatively "Ocean Splash." As the orca whale gracefully and with energy dives into the water a splash of water is created. This earthy, one of a kind, handmade necklace makes the perfect statement jewelry for anyone who loves marine life! With a vibrant painting done on beach rock (hand drilled in studio), this durable necklace is completed using a satin cord. It secures with a hand drilled river rock button clasp. The bail for the pendant is created by a lovely snake knot. Beautiful turquoise satin cord chosen for its ocean close color! Have you ever seen the beautiful ocean waters of Hawaii by Waikiki? * West coast beach rock pendant: app. 1.75" x 2" x 1/4" (45 mm x 38 mm x 6.3 mm) * Satin cord * River rock button clasp * Length: app. 22.5" (57.2 cm) * Series: "Ocean Wonders" (10/10) Painted with acrylic paints, this beach stone pendant has also been varnished with a few layers of UV-resistant clear coat. It comes as a complete necklace with a gorgeous turquoise smooth satin cord. This necklace secures with a hand drilled river rock button. The back of the pendant is left unpainted (minus a few marks of paint that escaped my brush!). I have also initialed and dated the back of the pendant. Nature friendly, this West Coast beach stone is drilled in studio. It is then carefully washed and let dry. I then create a design appropriate to the shape of the beach rock. Once allowed to dry, I then varnish the pendant, creating a better protection against the elements. Keep in mind that color appearance may vary from monitor to monitor. Colors may not appear the same on your monitor as it shows on mine. This lovely marine life art pendant will come with its own Certificate of Authenticity (CoA). *** Colors: Please note that not all monitors display colors the same way. I've done my best to portray the accurate colors of the item. Items may appear darker or lighter on your monitor. Copyright: © Gunilla Wachtel and Kanweienea Kreations studio. Serene Sunset
This one of a kind, Pacific beach rock necklace is titled "Serene Sunset." The natural beach stone pendant features my acrylic painting of a scenic blue sunset with a humpback whale lobtailing. Lob-tailing is the behavior when a whale is preparing to slap the water with its tail. Nature's ocean waves has created the amazing eco-friendly canvas on which I created this beautiful marine life painting. This earthy nature jewelry is perfect for all occasions and would look amazing both with casual or formal dress. This would also make the perfect statement jewelry for a surfer or anyone who loves the ocean and whales.

Rising from the Depths
"Rising from the Depths" is a hand painted original beach stone pendant painting done by Gunilla Wachtel. Beautiful acrylic painting of a humpback whale created on a smooth beach rock. The natural texture of the stone was incorporated into the composition. Holding this pendant is almost like holding a piece of the ocean in your hand! Well it kind of is! This smooth beach rock has been naturally created by Mother Nature and her waves. The wave action on the beach is what makes this smooth stone.
I have included a picture showing the humpback whale pendant next to a quarter to show the size comparison. That picture was taken before the satin cord bail was hand-knotted and the river rock button clasp was attached. |
Hope you enjoyed today's journey through the Studio Vault. Next week we'll see whatever other things we find. Of course, if you see a print you like and just can't resist buying the original for it, you can always contact us to see if it's available.
