The Pencil and the Paper
I think I might be switching out my ergonomic keyboard here soon. I've used it for a long time though. The keys are a bit of a stretch and I've noticed that it is bothering my hands. This week I decided to pick up the pencil again and get back to the studio already. I've had to limit my computer time alread, so might as well, right?
In the Studio
This is a photo of one of my sphere studies. The camera makes it look a bit brighter than it is.
A little bit of buffer zone practice, done with pencil of course.
This tie study was part of a tonal value practice. Here is how it looked after the first initial quick sketch.
Here is another picture of the tie study as I got some more work done on it.
Featured Artwork
The featured artwork for today is a keychain that we put together here in the studio. These acrylic keychains really are awesome quality. We use these keychains ourselves too.
The original drawing is not for sale. This was a portrait I drew of one of my first Newfoundland dogs.
Random Thoughts and Not so Random Thoughts
I know it's April Fool's today and everything, but there is no April Fool's joke in this post.
I'm currently starting work on the monthly newsletter for April which will have more behind the scenes pictures and other cool stuff. As usual, there will also be RSS emails sent out with any blog post updates.
Have a good day everyone!
