Studio News

I have been working on some more concept sketches and have to look some at my work schedule as well. Our baby girl Cleo is keeping me company at the pc as I'm writing this blog post. Gotta love Newfoundland dogs!

Here is a photo of Cleo. This photo was taken earlier this summer:

In the Studio

I will be trying to take over some of the picture taking again for the listings on the website and eBay. Especially the paintings with a lot of blue in them. I do love to paint with my blue colors! I have more experience with using our camera than hubby does. The camera is very finicky in regards to some colors, blue being one of them. I am also more familiar with Photoshop.

It can get frustrating with trying to take the accurate photos... especially when due to weather or time of day you can't take the pictures outside. Plus, for our camera to take decent pictures of blue colors it needs to be just the right daylight lighting. This makes it even more challenging when you have to take the pictures inside because of how the light works with the windows in my studio. I've taken a lot of those photos though, so it is a little bit easier for me...

Hubby will still help with the listings, but I have to try and look at my schedule to try and fit in the picture taking. Doesn't sound that difficult maybe but with trying to limit my pc time I have to try and make sure I don't take too long at the pc. I feel a little bit like Kermit the frog here...

Ok, I feel a little bit better now. Kermit rocks!

Random Thoughts and Not so Random Thoughts

I am trying to figure out a blog schedule that will work for me. Some days the monitor just seems to be extra bright... Plus, the blog platform I use now tends to get buggy. A "quick" blog post might end up taking a good 30 minutes at least... paragraphs won't stick... it strips code... etc...

As I'm sitting here editing this blog post and adding pictures etc, the screen just seems to be getting brighter and brighter. Therefore as much as I would like, I don't think blogging daily is an option. I'm thinking perhaps once or twice a week. If you have any suggestions for how often you like to see my blog post updates, do let me know in comments.

Thank you!
