Drawing as a Way to Try to Feel Better

Bristol Sketchbook pad

The past few days I've been dealing with a bad migraine again so most of my sketching/drawing has been doodles of various kinds. I find it helps a little bit trying to draw, but I'm usually not up to starting or working on an actual drawing then. I tend to turn more to drawing rather than to painting then.

As relaxing as painting can be, and I do enjoy it it also involves dragging out paints etc plus cleaning up after one is done painting. When I get migraines they're bad enough that I don't want to bother with the paints. It is much easier to just grab a pen or pencil and any of my sketchbooks.

What about you? Do you feel being creative helps you when you're not feeling well?

Enjoy your day!
