New Art Supplies

Time management. Effective time management at that. That sounds about like an epic raid mob encounter to me. Yet, I know that it is something I need to work on. As I'm typing up this post, I'm expecting the feline studio helpers to rush in to make sure I keep working.

Part of being more work done more efficiently is (at least to me) a somewhat organized studio. That way I can easily find materials that I need instead of spending time looking for them. This weekend some new supplies arrived and I had to figure out where to keep them.

In the Studio

Today I spent a bit of time organizing the studio. The other day I got a new drawing pad, 19 x 24 inches. I grew up with the metric system so I guess I didn't really have the visual impression of how big this drawing pad is!

I also got some new graphite pencils. I heard that the Lyra brand have some awesome graphite pencils so I wanted to try them out. More on the pencils in another post!

Random Thoughts and Not so Random Thoughts

Since the kitties like to use my studio as a general kitty climbing play ground I couldn't just leave this giant drawing pad out. I did find some room for it eventually.

Keeping the kitties out of the studio isn't really an option. Besides the fact that it is so nice to have them keep me company, they also make sure I get my work done. I have a very difficult time resisting the kitty cuteness when they want me to stay in the studio.

There have been many days where if it weren't for them, I wouldn't have gotten much of anything done. Besides, if I close the door to the studio they will literally football tackle jump the door to get in. The feline studio helpers win this one. I just have to make sure to put stuff away when I'm done working on it!
