Studio Wednesday - And a Very Energetic Cleo

The big brown and white bear roared loudly as it saw, or thought it saw, someone mysteriously and utterly suspiciously moving somewhere within its large territory boundaries. It reared it's body ferociously up in the air as the smells of its autumn surroundings blended together in a medley of sensory inputs.

Or read that as, the big brown and white Newfoundland dog Cleo barked deep and loud as she saw, or thought she saw someone mysteriously and utterly suspiciously even think about going close to her yard. She stood up impressively, wagged her tail in a non-friendly way and barked, from the depths of her little pinky paws.

Yeah... I'm so exhausted it's not even funny. Okay, maybe it is a little bit. I'm happy that Cleo is as energetic as she has been the past few days (speaking of which WOFF!!!!), but it would have been nice if she could try and not be a revolving door Newf. That way I could try and work in short spurts at least...

She wants in... she wants out... She wants me to come out with her so I go out with her for a bit. We went for a nice walk this morning before I even thought of getting any work done. I love her so much and she is such a sweet girl, but she can be a little naughty pup sometimes...

Cleo the Newfoundland Dog Kanweienea Kreations

Did you know that little Cleo is almost nine years old? She has been dealing with arthritis for the past year or so and the honey/cinnamon we give her daily has helped her incredibly.

For dogs that are Cleo's size (about 110-120 lbs) or so:

Just keep in mind, I'm not a veterinarian, just a well-informed dog owner.

This stuff works absolute wonders for Cleo and many other dogs (and people too!), but it might not help your fur-baby. Always check with a veterinarian if you aren't sure.

if you want to find more info on the benefits of honey and cinnamon in both dogs and people, do an internet search and you should find many articles on the matter.

  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon (preferably Ceylon cinnamon, not the cassia cinnamon that's sold in regular grocery stores, but if you don't have anything else, that works too).

The less humid (although colder, but she has so much fluffy fur she likes that anyways) weather helps too.

I will try to get some studio work done today too but I don't have any pictures of that right now, will try to get some up in the next post or so!

Enjoy your day!
